xRM Job Search Diary

This is still a work in progress ... it will only be complete once I finalise a design on an xRM demo tenant ... contact me if you are interested in expediting this.

Existing System – ‘The Dole Diary’

  • Started by John Howard
  • Current system 10 Employer Contacts (or 10 Activities in xRM terms – that is phone calls, e-mails or appointments)
  • Needs to go through Australian Parliament
  • And then - train JSAs, DEWR in xRM!
  • First step could be to start getting Job Seekers (also Job Service Providers) in a mind set shift from Activities to Opportunities or at least Leads
    • This would be a measurable impact on the Australian economy!
    • Lower the unemployment rate.
    • Increase workforce participation etc ….

10 “Opportunities” per fortnight!

  • Stakeholders will ask “What is an Opportunity?”
  • Increase **Quality** of contacting employers and subsequent jobsearching…
  • 10 Opportunities per fortnight!
  • 10 qualified (warm) Opportunities per fortnight – not just Leads or xRM Activities (Phone Calls and E-mails)!
  • To get 10 proper Opportunities takes job-seeking effort!

xRM Strategy – 2 [Main] Goals

  • Monitor Sales (or Job Seeking) Efforts
  • Help somebody get off Benefits and into a Job!

xRM Jobsearch Diary

  • An xRM [Online] Solution for the Jobsearch Diary
  • CRM monitors (and assists with) Sales efforts
  • Assist those looking for genuine work
  • xRM Solution to assist those looking for work

Opportunities are the main if only 'whole Entity'

  • Opportunity is Central Entity
  • Description field
  • Able to add Notes
  • Job Seekers are almost always looking for Immediate Start so Estimated Close Date is almost irrelevant … etc …
