- Commonwealth Government is probably the largest entity in Australia and needs to give rise to 3 different types of payroll – APS payroll, Managed Payroll and Recruiter Payroll (perhaps under Managed Payroll)
- Of course this excludes Subcontractors working on a Results basis whom manage their own Public Liability
- You will also be able to manage transitions across all 3 e.g. from Managed Payroll to APS payroll and back again etc …
- Payroll in the 21st century to be quite sophisticated to meet the needs of pseudo APS staff - using FBT claims to allow for partial deductions on smartphones, conferences, wearables, Internet etc … as these are necessary tools in contract - APS that taxpayer does not provide!
- Electronic timesheet systems also need to be quite flexible and keep good records of 0.5 days worked – not just weeks, fortnights or months
- A key goal here is for recruiters to make more placements and they should be definitely encouraged to make more placements!
Understanding Business and Customers these days is about coming to grips with the Quantity and Quality of Information!
