- SAP ERP
- SEEK Job Board
- Gumtree Online Community Noticeboard
- ESPN CricInfo
- eBay Online Marketplace
- Google Search
- Facebook Social Networking
- Apple iPhone
- ... and let's not forget about Microsoft! ...
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft SharePoint (when implemented correctly!)
- Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Microsoft Partners In Learning
The end result – a complete & seamless merging of Physical and Virtual worlds!
- Convergence of physical and virtual worlds NOT collision!
- Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne running on iPad
- Still a physical board game but seamless integration to a virtual environment
- Magic the Gathering (a fantastic game)
- Use mobile browsers to look up card prices
- A simple one; being able to get Sports statistics and news (any device) from the Internet whilst still watching it on TV
- So there’s no discord.
Now these technologies are good in terms of a technology platform there is however a bit of dischord in their business which is noticeable:
- Uber
- Share code with traditional taxis companies
- Share code with the regulator (why be seen to be writing your own laws)
- Air BnB
- Share code with traditional hotel & motel operators
- Share code with brick and mortar property investors
- Share code with the regulator
You may be successful in the long run but you are making it much harder for yourself … it is not efficient
So on this point there’s a smarter way to go then directly conflicting with the traditional industries, their partners and the regulator!
